23 Commas
Commas are used in the following instances:

in a sentence with an introductory phrase (Ex: Leaving the Cyclopes, Odysseus erred in judgement.)
before a coordinating conjunction linking two main clauses (Ex: The suitors actions were barbaric, yet Odysseus's reaction was still unjust.)
in lists of three or more nouns, or two or more adjectives (Ex: Reckless, rash, yet heroic, Odysseus outwitted Circe, the Cyclopes, and the Lotus Eaters.)
to set off parenthetical expressions (Ex: Odysseus's actions, while not inherently evil, were nonetheless unjust in these circumstances.)
